The National Children's Museum are easily accessible, making the location suitable for visitors interested in local history and family-friendly activities.

The location for the Piece Hall and town centre is perfect. Parking is very limited and awkward but there is a cheap Town parking opposite at only #9 a day. The rooms were basic but fine although being in the attic were very height restricted, having to sit on the floor to make a brew. All things considered fine for one night to go to the Piece Hall.

Stayed one night as a single traveler for the James gig at Piece hall (a few minutes walk away). I had a small attic room which was nice and clean with a small sink, towel.soap bottles, tea/coffee and a small TV. Bathroom is shared but not a big problem. The hostess and staff in the pub are super nice and friendly and nothing seems a problem to them and are very approachable. It’s a great location for the train station and town centre. If you have a person who struggles with stairs this is probably not the one for you(no lifts),but if you like a friendly place with great beers on hand at a fair price, on my experience I would book it.

Hosted a baby shower in the function room this past weekend. Lovely space to use and the staff were really helpful. We were allowed to get in early to set up and overall everyone had a great afternoon

Had a christening party at this place. It was very well done. The staff was great, the room was tidy and well set up for us. The parking is just over the road, but it's not for everyone. We didn't stay overnight because we were using the function room.

Loved this place we stayed when we went to see the QOTSA gig and the lady that owns it was more than helpful also really kind and friendly, so if your reading this Thank You for that. The only downside was the people staying in the next room where being really loud and and lots of thudding noises and furniture like draws getting opened and closed at daft o'clock in the morning so we kept getting woke up but that's not down to the hotel just the people causing the noise. If we ever go to The Piece Hall again for another gig which I'm hoping we definitely will be then this is definitely the hotel will will be trying first to get a room.

Stayed in a single room with shared bathroom on a football away day. Host Jackie was great and I cannot speak highly enough of her. As a solo traveler using the room for a quick night's sleep and a shower it did the job. Bed was good, shower head was weak in the shared bathroom. Room wasn't spotless but clean enough for a traveling football fan lol. Towel, basic toiletries, coat hangers were provided, and tea/coffee/kettle and TV nice to have although I didn't use them. I have given a 4* review, but considering the price, I would say the hotel was great value for money and would probably stay again. COYD
